Yield the right of way

Description

Yield is a signal that is used when there are pedestrian crossings, in order to allow individuals to join safely without interfering with the maneuvering of vehicles on the road.

  • This signal is frequently used in access to expressways.
  • This sign is frequently used at expressway accesses (motorways) or at level intersections with priority control.
  • It is also common to see these signs at roundabout accesses to give priority to the ring road.

On the other hand, this signal is also for drivers to allow other drivers to pass.

In this case, the blue car must allow the passage of the two cars that are making the crossing.

In this way, even though there is no traffic light to monitor the passage, the signal alerts the driver of the situation.
